when people act self-righteous about their refusal of medication. especially in the case of mental illness. do you think i like taking pills every day? do you think i like adjusting my diet so i won’t have a fucking seizure in the middle of the cafeteria? do you think fatigue and anxiety and loneliness is easy? do you really fucking think i would choose this for myself? when you tell me how much you look down on the use of medication, especially for my mental illnesses, you’re telling me i should be able to handle it, that it can’t be that fucking bad. you’re telling me that my pain is less real. you’re telling me that it’s all in my head. which it is, but we’re talking about brain chemistry not pms. so shut the fuck up.
